The Best Steak Knives Ever

What we can promise you is that these knives, marketed as “table knives,” are better than any other steak knife on the market today. They also come with a lifelong guarantee–a “FOREVER” guarantee–that Cutco will sharpen or replace any and all knives made by Cutco.

Best Steak Knives Ever: Cutco Table Knives

We have several different brands of steak knives in our cabinets. But the oldest is also really the best in that for the last 25 years, this one set has been handed down from my mother to me and continues to be the most powerful set of steak knives. Cutco actually sells a separate package of “steak knives” and these are actually called “table knives”–but these beat out everything else.

Everything else in the world.

But even better than that is the Cutco service guarantee. While we’ve only used it twice in the last 25 years (because they really just don’t need sharpening that often!), when we mail the entire set of 10 steak knives into Cutco, they resharpen them all. If the blade is damaged, they replace it.

While we started with 12 knives in this set and lost some along the years, the ten we have remaining are used constantly and remain as sharp as can be, despite my using it on all kinds of wretched thing like opening boxes and cutting cartilage, etc.  And to this day, guests will comment on how tender our steaks are–and we grin, because it’s the knife, not the steak.

Seriously, these are the best steak knives, and we’re putting them into our kitchen essentials collection. I believe you can also find a 8-pack of tables knives on Amazon as well (though it wasn’t in stock at the time of this writing) or you can buy the 8 pc set on the Cutco website. The handles come in black, white or red (I don’t like the red…)–and just for your information, we own the black. The white is actually very pretty but the black goes better for how I set up a table serving steak.

Dishwasher-safe and forever-lasting. You can’t ask for more in a steak knife set.
